If you’ve never used powder because you don’t know which one to choose, which one is right for your skin type, or how to apply it, don’t worry—we’ll tell you everything.

Enough talk, let’s begin.

WHAT IS FACE POWDER FOR?

Face powder serves several functions in the makeup routine:

Sets makeup

helps fix foundation and concealer, extending their wear.

Mattifies

reduces skin shininess, particularly useful for those with oily or combination skin, but not only.

Evens out

improves the skin’s appearance, making it more uniform and minimizing the visibility of pores.

TYPES OF FACE POWDER

There are two types of face powder: loose and compact. The right choice depends on the result you want to achieve and your skin’s specific needs.

indissoluble Silky powder

  • : a loose, fine, and silky powder, ideal for those looking for a natural and adjustable result.

indissoluble compact powder

compact, soft, and velvety, perfect for touching up shininess and oiliness throughout the day with light and adjustable coverage. The packaging with an integrated mirror is also refillable!

CHOOSING THE RIGHT POWDER BASED ON SKIN TYPE

The right powder can vary based on your skin type. Here are some guidelines to help you find the most suitable product for your needs:

Combination/Oily Skin

If your skin tends to be oily or shiny, you might prefer the Indissoluble Silky Powder, our loose powder. The light, silky formulation is ideal for controlling shininess without weighing down the skin. Organic oils help maintain proper hydration, and the powdery base absorbs excess sebum, keeping the skin fresh and matte for hours.

Normal/Dry or Mature Skin

If you have normal, dry, or mature skin, the Indissoluble Compact Powder may be the right choice. The formula enriched with organic oils and butters makes it particularly nourishing and comfortable on the skin.

WHY CHOOSE AN ORGANIC POWDER

Choosing an organic powder goes beyond mere beauty. It’s a conscious commitment to your skin and the environment. Our powders, like all puroBIO products, are certified organic, formulated with ingredients derived from organic sources—grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers—to offer a product that effectively balances performance and benefits for the skin.

WATCH OUT FOR INGREDIENTS

Let’s focus on the ingredients:

Organic Oils and Butters:

Shea butter and BIO macadamia, avocado, and apricot oils, chosen for their nourishing properties. These natural ingredients are ideal for keeping the skin soft and well-hydrated.

Vitamin E:

A powerful antioxidant essential for protecting the skin from damage caused by free radicals and for preventing premature aging.

BIO Corn and Rice Starches:

Natural alternatives to talc, these ingredients make the skin soft and pleasant to the touch by absorbing excess sebum, for a very natural matte effect. They help set the makeup, making it stay on the skin longer.

TRANSPARENT VS COLORED POWDER

The choice of the right powder depends largely on the result you want to achieve and the specific needs of your skin:

Transparent powders:

Universal, suitable for anyone, ensure a neutral finish effect without altering the color of the underlying makeup.

Colored powders:

  • essential for those who want to achieve a specific improvement in complexion, whether it be correction or illumination of the skin.

Colored Powder: Which to Choose

Colored powders offer a range of possibilities for improving the appearance of one’s makeup and skin, adapting to different tones and needs. Choosing the right powder can make a big difference in the final appearance of the makeup, visually correcting small imperfections. The key is to select the color and tone most suitable for your complexion and specific needs.

CIPRIA SKIN-TONED

THE PUROBIO INDISSOLUBLE COMPACT POWDER

The Compact Powders are available in 4 shades (01-02-03-04), to match your skin tone. They even out skin tone and provide light and natural coverage. Ideal if you want a natural look but desire a slight correction of skin tone.

PINK POWDER

the INDISSOLUBLE SILKY POWDER N.02

It’s not just a pretty color, but also very effective. Pink helps to neutralize greenish and bluish tones in dark circles and optically eliminates dullness in fair skin or cool undertones.

CIPRIA CON SOTTOTONO GIALLO

THE INDISSOLUBLE SILKY POWDER No. 03 and THE COMPACT POWDER No. T01

Powders in yellowish/cream tones brighten medium to dark complexions that can appear dull with translucent or overly light powders. Additionally, they correct discoloration such as dark spots and under-eye circles in olive or tanned skin.

TIPS FROM THE PUROBIO TEAM

  • For a customized color, mix Indissoluble Silky Powder 02 with Indissoluble Silky Powder 03. The pink and cream shades together brighten, reduce dullness, and enhance the complexion of any skin tone.

  • If you want to highlight a specific area, like the under-eye area, use a yellow-toned powder and gently press with a blender. You’ll love the glow!

HOW TO APPLY POWDER

Choosing the right type and color for your skin is only half the job; the other half is applying it correctly. Here’s how to do it:

With a brush:

For a light and even application, use a large, soft brush. We recommend brush 01, ideal for full-face application.

With a sponge:

For areas that need more coverage, like under the eyes, use the mini blender to gently press the powder into the skin.

Pro technique:

The “baking” technique, which involves applying a generous amount of loose powder and letting it “bake” on the face for a few minutes before dusting it off with a brush, is perfect for an extremely long-lasting makeup, creating a lifting effect and for photos (keep it in mind for your next party).
